There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.
When we pick up a newspaper, or watch the news, we are given a description of events that transpired outside the circles of our knowledge. We are informed that this happened or that, and we are treated to a set of explanations. But in the end, though we know the cause of the fire, or the reason for the burglary, or the motive for the murder, we never really know why those things had to happen in the first place. The stories we hear, in other words, are incomplete.
Who knows why the storm hit this coastal village and not the one next to it? Maybe the village that was spared had someone in it who had been charged to care for the seven million golden fish the Sun eats for dinner at the end of every day. Or maybe the storm just didn’t like the way the coconuts in the other village looked.
There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in our philosophies. You might stumble across some of them here.
